OCCHI DI FARFALLA in 2013 als akkustisches Rock-Duo gegründet bringt feministische Rocksongs auf die Bühne. Inzwischen sind sie als komplette Band auf Tour mit Schlagzeug, Bass, Gitarre und Gesang. Das gibt ihrem Sound die dunkle harte Note. Beeinflust von Punk, Stoner Rock, Pop möchten sie einfache Songs auf die Bühne bringen. „Wir lieben Musik und wir versuchen es einfache und schöne Songs zu machen. Die besten Sachen sind wirklich einfach.“ Und ist es ihnen wichtig zu sagen woher sie kommen und wer sie sind: Basken und Feministen. |
Feminist Rock from the Basque Country
OCCHI DI FARFALLA was born in 2013 as an acoustic feminist duo project. Singing rock songs in an acoustic style and always singing lyrics with a feminist view. Now the music comes along dark, strong and heavy, dressed as a whole band with drums, bass, guitar and voice and accompanied by live performance with illustrations and videos. „We are from the Basque Country, a place in the world where it is difficult to be Basque, because of the repression of French and Spanish states. That’s why it is really important for us to say where we come from and who we are. Basque and feminist. We used to play in hardcore, punk bands many years ago. That why our rock has influences of punk, stoner, pop and other music styles… We love music and we try to do simple and nice songs. The best things are really simple.“ |
